Everything is myth

Everything is myth

Everything is myth. Someday it will demolish. Whether the myth is good, bad or the ugly, it will remain a myth. There is a reason why it is called myth in the first place. Life indeed is a myth and so it will demolish and hence the ultimate truth – Death! In fact, there is no better truth known to human other than death.

The majority defines life as a pattern, i.e, a fixed routine. Some define it for meaning, some for purpose, some for money, some for love, some for lust, some for their own reasons. Few are the ones that accept life as it is. They are the ones who don’t define or manipulate or justify their living. They just live. So is their mind, as is their life.

The ones who confine the life in some name, designation, person, relation, wealth and other materialistic things never go beyond that. No doubt, they are Desiring the unlimited, but through the limited. They are not to blamed since they are doing what they were taught in the first place – the patterns, the myths.

Then there are the ones who don’t define it. They are aware of the unlimited and hence know that this unlimited can neither be defined nor confined within the limited. If it could be defined then it would not be unlimited.

The idea is not to define it. That is the only way it can be preserved. It is, just accept it and that’s all. Defining will just spoil the fun. But the craving for the unknown is obvious. One has to reach that state where the craving can demolish. Since, they try to capture the unlimited in the limited, they reach nowhere.

There is a renowned quote in Hindi Language which says “सब मोह माया है|”, which translates to “Everything is myth”. The irony is that the quote can be used both ways, as a joke as well as with ultimate seriousness yet its value remains unaffected.

This joke can sometimes be so deep that one can dive in it forever. For an ignorant mind, it can remain a joke. Same happens with the life and its dual nature. A mind can take life as a joke or as serious way to accomplish something.

Is there a need to be serious? In my opinion, life is a joke, a game. Everyone is playing it one way or the other. The crux of life is unknown yet known. Some claim to know everything yet know nothing. Some claim to know nothing but know everything.

One has to know that it does not know.
