Life has its ways!

Life has its ways!

Ever came across a situation when you wanted to sail on two boats and you can pick only one? If yes, then go with the one which challenges you more. Pick the one which grills you, and at the same time, brings the best version out of you. Today, I'm going to share a similar situation where I wanted to sail on two boats and how I believe my instincts and go with the right one.

THE PROBLEM

Life was tough. Even when everything seems way to clear, it was required to do the needful. I was tired of my current job and wanted to switch as quickly as possible. I wasn't making through the interviews. Days went by and soon I knew where I was lagging and which areas I need to work more.

In parallel, I already opted to volunteer for a foundation with a bigger cause and looped my way inside that. There was a conflict. I was doing so many things. I didn't had time. How was I supposed to do both?

All the remaining time and energy could only be devoted to only one part and the second has to be compromised. I didn't wanted to compromise any. I wanted to grow as well as I wanted to help. I had to pick one. I decided to take a leap of faith.

It was getting difficult by each passing day. I knew I had to pick one. I was helpless. I wanted to help myself first, but at the same time also wanted to keep my word that I wanted to help for a bigger cause. Anyway, I knew I was not getting a job sooner since I need to check my bucket list of skills first.

TRUST THE INSTINCTS

My instincts told me that growth can be managed over the subsequent period and is a continuous process. I decided to go with my gut feeling and put that selfish motive aside for a while and began contributing to the foundation in the way that was possible for me.

In my mind, I was not happy since I was in a desperate need to switch. I forget that and started helping them. I was assigned a point of contact for the contributions. Soon, the life played its part and they had a need to develop a system for in-house functioning that improves their efficiency and optimize their process.

I happily took the project to solve their in-house problem as it was a more challenging one. Little did I know that during that project, I'd come across the function that was required in the first place where I was lagging to switch. I was offered to work on that.

I was like shooting two targets using a single arrow. My happiness knew no bounds. Soon I realised that in times of difficulties, go with your instincts and evaluate your participation wisely. Life will play its part. You have to trust the process and don't have to interfere. Life will play you.

BE THANKFUL

All I have towards life is Gratitude and Thankfulness for showing its ways. I cannot be more thankful. At the end of the day, life figured out a way for me itself. I just had to go with the flow and trust the instincts.
